We are delight to welcome curator and researcher Iris Long as our Guest Speaker for the ”Hidden Veins“ Walk & Talk tomorrow, 2 May.

Departing from a conventional seated lecture, this session is designed as a site-specific, moving dialogue. As we navigate the exhibition space together, Iris will bring her extensive research on technological infrastructures and digital ecologies into direct contact with the artworks on display.

The walk will examine the politics behind the ”invisibility“ of digital infrastructures and discuss how digital art can genuinely intervene in public and political life. Following the guided walk, the session will transition into an Open Conversation—a collective discussion inviting the audience, guest speaker, and student artists to think out loud together.

We invite you to join us for this insightful afternoon!!!

📅 Date: Saturday, 2 May
📍 Venue: St James Hatcham Building, SE14 6AD

With 7 days to go until the DAC Degree Show, we begin sharing works in progress by participating Year 2 student Duru Deniz Yilmaz.

Are You There? is an immersive 3D animation that takes you on an uncomfortable journey into a psychology of someone who is being under constant surveillance. Reminiscing of old, now corrupted memories that are shattered into incomplete modified fragments.

Duru Deniz Yilmaz (b. 2006, Turkey) is an artist and a pianist who creates weirdcore 2D and 3D animations, computer-based sketches, comic book panels in a realistic but cartoon style, audioreactive visuals. Her artworks represent a simulation of a fake reality of utopia and dystopia working in harmony all together.

10 days left!

The BSc Digital Arts Computing cohort presents their degree show, ’Hidden Veins‘, exploring the self-organised systems of our own fleshy bodies as a metaphor for the broader, complex structures that quietly influence the world around us today.

Working at the hybrid edges of art and technology, the works presented span sculpture, multimedia installation, performance, and immersive soundscapes, each confronting their own unique systems that are rarely questioned and yet dictate our everyday movements.

Together, these works form an intersecting network of their own, becoming the hidden veins of the current media landscape; shaping from within existing structures. They form a collective crucial in exploring the concealed systems that shape our world.
