London school uses extra cash for poorer children to pay for private tuition 30/12/2019

A London school with high levels of socio-economic deprivation is paying for private tuition to help pupils with their GCSE exams. Urswick School is buying 1-2-1 lessons with its "pupil premium" money, given to schools to support disadvantaged pupils.

This underscores the great importance of pupils having additional support outside of school so they can achieve their full potential in school. Key to act early. If you have family or friends sitting GCSE or A-level exams this summer, get in touch via DMs or www.somalitutors.co.uk

The debt-free alternative to university 30/12/2019

An interesting read about the alternatives of going to university

The debt-free alternative to university Going to university is often thought of as a rite of passage for many young people, but some are breaking away from this tradition.

This is for anyone that doubts their own abilities. You are and always a product of the limits you impose on yourself:

One day, a man was walking through an elephant camp, and noticed the only thing holding the elephants back from escaping, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.

As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was confused as to why the elephants didn't just use their strength to break the rope and escape.

Curious and wanting to know the answer, he asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just standing there and never tried to escape.

The trainer replied;

'"when they are young, we use the same size rope to ripe them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up,they are conditioned to believe the cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free."

The only reason that the elephant weren't breaking free and escaping from the camp was that over time they adopted the belief that it just wasn't possible.

Moral of the story:

No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, always continue with the belief that you want to achieve is possible. Believing you can become successful is the most important step in actually achieving it.
