We explain the biblical view of human nature and sin. God created man in his image, meaning that he is a spiritual, rational, and moral being. However, man disobeyed God and fell into sin. This corrupted his nature and separated him from God.

Sin is a serious offence against God’s law and justice, and it leads to eternal punishment in hell. Religion cannot save you from your sin, because it cannot change your heart, or erase your guilt. Only God can save you, through Jesus. This is the gospel.

In Matthew 6 Jesus has been teaching them to not be anxious for anything. Instead they are to trust in Him. In verse 33, Jesus is in fact urging them to seek salvation. The forgiveness of sin and the full care and provision of God is found only through salvation in Jesus Christ.
