Farnaz Memari at TESOL Spain, supported by the Speak for IH grant, shared her session “Beyond Language Learning,” exploring how everyday teacher language and behaviour shape learning far beyond grammar and vocabulary.

Drawing on the SCARF model, she highlighted the power of soft skills, classroom presence, and respectful communication in motivating learners and building lasting impact.

The Simon Greenall Award was established in memory of the distinguished author and ELT professional Simon Greenall, OBE, to boost projects that embody Simon's values.
