Is "not racist" enough? 🤔

Our Anti-Racism Online CPD challenges educators, and anyone working with children, to move beyond that question and start actively challenging racism wherever it shows up, including in ourselves.

Led by Senior Educator Adrian Benn, this 90 minute online session explores key terminology, unconscious bias, microaggressions and how we can all work towards more inclusive environments for young people.

Our 'joy practitioner' Lolade is underselling herself :-) Get her in a room of pupils and students and you'll witness one of the most engaging forces of nature in existence. With respect to Lolade, she hates being filmed, as do I, and many others, so big love for doing this for us, she is an absolute joy and with so many years working with Bigfoot as a brilliant arts practitioner we are forever grateful and in debt for her amazing passion, skillz, experience and commitment to being just who she is!

We are very proud of the work we deliver in Primary schools and the positive impact it has on the pupils that take part.

We have worked in a record numbers of Primary schools this year, helping pupils and teachers tackle a rise in racist attitudes, language and behaviours. Whilst it’s not something to celebrate, we understand how powerful education can be to help make positive change in our society, and Bigfoot have committed themselves to ensure we can help make a difference.

Adam Tickner, a teacher from a Primary school in Sheerness, Kent wrote to Bigfoot yesterday to tell us how our workshops have helped their school.

“We are incredibly grateful to the work of Bigfoot Arts Education for their fantastic anti-racism workshops, which have had a measurable impact across our school community. Over the course of the academic year, we have seen a 75% reduction in recorded racial incidents. This remarkable improvement reflects the power of education and the engaging approach that the team, from Bigfoot Arts, bring to their workshops. Their amazing work has helped foster a more inclusive, respectful environment for everyone. We highly recommend their programmes!” - Adam Tickner, DSL, St Edward’s Primary School

Meet Hannah, she's a wonderful force of nature who is so much fun to work with. She's delivered so many programmes for Bigfoot over the years and is the perfect reminder on how the arts attract people from all walks of life, bringing their experiences and knowledge into the classrooms, and this naturally transfers to the children we work with. In this instance Hannah brings utter joy, steadfast professionalism and a can-do positive mental attitude to all of her work at Bigfoot, and for that we are hugely grateful! We love you Hannah!

Ofsted walked into a Kent primary school and found children running their own friendship workshops.

No rehearsal. No warning. Just pupils leading peers on kindness, equity and belonging.

The school received a Strong Standard for Personal Development. 🌟 That’s WFA in action.

World Friendship Ambassadors is our national child-led peer mentoring programme for primary schools. Affordable, inclusive, and built to last year after year.

Start this Autumn. Use code WELCOME10 for 10% off before 10th July.
