THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS AN AUSTRIAN MOUNTAIN COW
‘This play has grown to be close to my heart. Doing a play about Covid-19 while the pandemic is still going on has been incredibly helpful because of all the restrictions we had to follow anyway. But it has also been a way to reflect over topics like isolation and struggling with mental health that so many people are dealing with during these times.’
— Director, Naima Sjoholm
Six people are stuck in quarantine in an Austrian
Skiing lodge due to exposure of a covid-19 case
at a party. The different views on how strict the
quarantine should be quickly leads to tension
between the characters.
How long can the human body stay sane without
the touch of others? What happens when you
are trapped in an environment with no way of
showing love and affection? How long until our
very humanity crumbles?
What starts off as a simple and harmless
disagreement turns into a series of bizarre
events including a dog, a radio and an
Austrian Mountain Cow.
⏰Approx. 1 hour
13+. This production contains strong language, violence, and adult themes which some may find offensive.

RASPBERRY FIELD
Remember the sweet taste of raspberries when you long for the field.
They are neither of this world nor the other. They know the myths of the spirits of the lands, the gods of the forests, the voices of the ancestors. They are connected to the earth an to the eternal blue sky. They know that to hear, one must go deaf. To see, one must go blind. And to live, one must die.
A devised piece inspired by the shamanic initiation rituals of Siberia.

FREED
‘I decided quite early in the process that we would do the play inspired by German Expressionism.
We had to put aside what we have learned about acting in realism and instead create our own language and rules for the stage which has been both a challenge but also a gift. Some rules are taken directly from what we know about expressionism, some were created by the actors in exploration, and some emerged from having to deal with covid-restrictions. It turned out that expressionism works very well in a world where you can’t touch each other or share objects.’
