How Creativity Can Be Enhanced by AI

Creativity is a valuable skillset allowing us to solve problems, innovate, express ourselves in unique ways.

However sometimes we face mental blocks, lack of inspiration, self-doubt.

I speak from experience I do struggle at times with creativity especially putting down words to visualise.

I'm fascinated by how AI can help us unleash our creative potential.

AI is not just a tool for automation or analysis.

It can also be a partner for exploration and experimentation.

I've seen some amazing examples of how artists and photographers are using AI to create stunning work.

For instance, look at the image below that I found on Twitter.

It’s a digital image made using Midjourney, an AI-powered site that lets you turn text prompts and photos into realistic artworks.

Midjourney uses a deep neural network to generate realistic textures, colours, and lighting effects.

You can choose from different styles, some of which are oil painting, watercolour, or sketch.

This image demonstrates how an artist captures the details of the human hand.

One of the quirks in AI is getting features like this right, it’s all in the detail of the prompt. This took a lot of work and thought.

As someone who struggles I know how hard it is to get them right.

The fingers, the nails, the wrinkles, the veins...

they all add up to create a lifelike impression.

The artist used the platform to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the scene.

The colours are more vibrant, the shadows are dramatic, and the background is abstract.

This shows that AI is not replacing human creativity.

It's augmenting it.

It's giving us new possibilities and perspectives to explore.

It's helping us overcome our limitations and express ourselves better.

I think this is an exciting time for creative professionals and enthusiasts alike.

AI is opening doors for us to discover and share our creativity.

Even I’m benefitting from creating digital images!
