Maggieβs paw-sitive preschool visit
π€ Meet Maggie! An Exclusive Interview with The Village Preschool's Favourite Four-Legged Visitor πΎ
π€ Interviewer: Hi Maggie! Thank you for taking time out of your very busy schedule to chat with us.
πΆ Maggie: It's no problem. I was due for my afternoon nap anyway.
π€ What's your job at The Village Preschool?
πΆ Officially? Visiting Dog.
Unofficially? Professional tail wagger, cuddle expert, and Chief Snack Inspector.
π€ What's your favourite thing about coming to preschool?
πΆ Seeing all my little human friends! They're always so kind, gentle and full of exciting stories... even if I don't understand most of them.
π€ Do you do any teaching?
πΆ Absolutely.
I teach kindness, patience, gentle hands, taking turns... and occasionally how to throw a ball properly.
π€ What's your favourite activity?
πΆ Having my ears scratched.
Forest School walks.
Having my ears scratched.
Did I mention having my ears scratched?
π€ Do you ever get tired?
πΆ Have you met preschoolers?
After all those cuddles and wagging, a little snooze is essential. A working dog has standards.
π€ What snacks do you enjoy?
πΆ Nice try...
My human says I have to stick to my own treats.
(Although I do keep a close eye on snack time... just in case.)
π€ Have you got lots of rules to follow?
πΆ Definitely!
I'm always with my human, I only say hello if children want to meet me, and I always have a quiet place to rest when I need a break.
Safety first... then cuddles.
π€ What's your favourite thing that children do?
πΆ When they whisper, "Can I stroke Maggie?"
My tail starts wagging before they've even finished asking.
π€ Finally, if you could say one thing to new children coming to preschool, what would it be?
πΆ Don't worry if you feel a little nervous.
We'll make friends, have fun, and I promise I'll save you a wag.
(Unless I'm asleep... then please let me finish my nap. π΄)
πΎ Thanks for chatting with us, Maggie!
Maggie visits us regularly and brings plenty of smiles, calm moments and waggy tails. We absolutely love having her as part of The Village Preschool family. π
