Building on its inaugural meeting (Summary Note here) earlier this year, we extend the discussion on whether our Financial System Fit for Purpose. The workshop will be at University College London.

The Social Cooperation Hub held its inaugural discovery meeting on 28 November 2017, bringing together scholars from a variety of disciplines to discuss the question, “Does Social Cooperation Affect Macroeconomic Performance?” Following from this meeting and the appointment of Prof Dennis Snower and Prof Sir Paul Collier as Hub Leaders, we will hold four pre-workshop seminars on 10 and 11 October, and also on 15 and 30 November at NIESR and the University of Oxford.
The seminars will bring together experts to guide the research agenda of the Hub, generate ideas, and contribute towards designing the Hub’s inaugural workshop shortly after. Following the workshop, the Hub will be in a position to release a research call that addresses the question of whether social cooperation affects macroeconomic performance.
