Our baby room had a super busy week last week! 🥰✨

We got stuck into lots of sensory and sand/water play, danced their little socks off with Diddi Dance 💃🕺, and had so much fun discovering what happens when we splat paint-filled cotton balls! 🎨💥

A little look back at another wonderfully busy week at nursery last week! 🌈✨

After a lovely visit from the rain, we couldn’t resist getting outside for some muddy digging and exploring! 🪣🌧️ Little hands got stuck in, discovering, investigating and having lots of fun getting wonderfully messy.

We also got creative in the kitchen making our very own bread faces 🥖😊, we enjoyed lots of exciting messy play and let our imaginations run wild as we created some truly beautiful artwork 🎨🖌️.

🚂✨ Fun in the Baby Room! ✨🚂

Our babies had a wonderful time last week exploring their new balancing trays! They loved watching the balls roll, tumble and make their way down the trays, encouraging lots of curiosity, exploration and excitement. 🥰⚪️

We also enjoyed getting stuck into some messy play and having lots of fun splashing and exploring during water play and lots of emptying and filling with colourful sand! 💦👐

And, of course, no week would be complete without keeping a lookout for our favourite… the trains! 🚂👀 There were lots of happy faces watching them go by! ❤️

We were busy last week exploring, creating and learning through lots of exciting hands-on activities. 🌱🎨🧪

We had so much fun planting, getting wonderfully messy with paint and mixing up magical potions in our mud kitchen! 🪴🎨🧙‍♀️🫧

We also got our maths hats on at the maths table, creating our very own delicious-looking ice creams and counting how many scoops we could add. 🍦🔢 We practised sorting our colourful shapes into the correct bowls too! 🔴🟡🔵🟢

And, of course, there was plenty of splashing and exploring with water play, before settling down in the sunshine to enjoy some of our favourite stories. 💦📚☀️

What a wonderful week of learning through play, creativity and discovery! 💕

Looking for a warm, nurturing environment where your child can learn, grow, and flourish? We'd love to welcome you to Beckenham Hill Nursery (SE6 3AH), conveniently located just behind the new Home Bargains on Bromley Road.

At Beckenham Hill Nursery, we believe children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Spending time outdoors and connecting with nature is an important part of our curriculum, giving children the opportunity to discover, investigate, build confidence, and develop a love for the natural world in a safe and stimulating environment.

✨ From September, we're offering:
👶 Lewisham 2s Funding across 2 days (8:00am–4:30pm, term time only)
🧸 30 hours funded childcare for eligible children aged 9 months and over
💚 10% discount on nursery fees for new Home Bargains employees

🕗 Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, all year round (excluding a two-week closure over Christmas).

🎨📚 Creativity and imagination were in full swing this week!
Our little learners had a fantastic time exploring paint dabbers, experimenting with colours, patterns, and mark-making while developing their fine motor skills. We also loved enjoying stories together, listening carefully, sharing our favourite parts, and letting our imaginations take us on exciting adventures through books.

🌶️👩‍🍳 Cooking Club was full of colour this week!

Our little chefs explored different vegetables and used fluffy couscous to create their very own stuffed peppers. From mixing and filling to tasting their creations, everyone had lots of fun learning about healthy foods and trying something new! 🫑🥕✨
