Non verbal children support 🧩

There are so many things we can do to support non verbal children and here are only a few small tips. I would also suggest using some basic Makaton, now and next boards, pole bridging and teaching through the child’s interests. It’s amazing how much a child becomes inspired when you include things they love.

Space Theme 🔭🪐👽🚀👩‍🚀

This week we are reading a book called ‘Sun Moon and Stars’ we have themed activities around the classroom including our space tray!

✔️Tuff tray
✔️Glitter
✔️Foil
✔️Star stickers
✔️Small space toys (collected over time)
✔️Pencils ( to allow children to mark make)

There are so many opportunities to learn using this tray and I am looking forward to hearing the children use vocabulary they have learnt over the week and role play!

Fine Motor Fun ✏️

As children have some time off before they start school, pre school of Nursery it is the perfect time to focus on building their fine motor development 👏🏼

Lots of games and activities stimulate the muscles and will help children to become confident creators and writers.
