Rec/KS1 sports day

The PTA will be selling cold drinks during sports day this afternoon.

Ice lollies will also be available to purchase after the races have finished.

When the fire engines visited Nursery Recetion also enjoyed a visit from the local firefighters who taught the children all about fire safety and the important work firefighters do. The children had the chance to sit on a real fire truck, try using the hose, and wear a firefighter’s helmet! They learned why it is so important to listen carefully when fire alarms sound and how firefighters help keep people safe. The children were fascinated to discover that firefighters do much more than put out fires — they also rescue animals, help people involved in car accidents, and even save those who get into difficulty in the water. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Last few PGL photos!

The children were great and we hope they all had an amazing time. Thank you to the staff who gave up the weekend to give them this opportunity!

On Friday, the morning Early Years children were visited by firefighters from Hillingdon Fire Station. They were all very excited to see the fire engine arrive at school & were eager to take part in a discussion about what firefighters do & how they help the community. Each child got to have a go at squirting the hose across the playground, sit inside the back & front seat of the engine & even try on a safety helmet.

PGL Update

Today has been dry all day.

We have been paddle boarding, abseiling, fencing, zip line, taken part in archery, problem solving, giant swing and completed the challenege course.

Lunch was a roast dinner with chicken or Quorn.

Dinner was beef lasagne, large sausage roll or Quorn nuggets with veg, garlic bread and salad.

Tonight is our camp fire and we have the marshmallows and biscuits ready to make smores!

Tomorrow we orienteering, abseiling and zip wiring.
