๐งโ๐ณ Our Duke of Edinburgh students have been putting their skills to the test with Trangia camping stoves! This was a fantastic opportunity to practice outdoor cooking and prepare for their upcoming expeditions!
Year 9 students smashed their fun fitness circuit training! They designed their own stations and applied the principles of training to make them more challenging. Well done for your fantastic attitudes and creativity โ 30 personal trainers in the making!
โฝ Last week, Twickenham School welcomed the FA for their biggest-ever football session, supported by the Barclays Game On programme. Girls from KS3 were selected to take part in two sessions led by ex-Lioness Rachel Yankey and had the opportunity to meet Ian Wright!

What a great start to the netball season for the Year 7 and Year 8 girls! They fought hard against Turing House and, despite two losses, both teams showed excellent skill, commitment, and fitness.
Well done to the Year 7 students who played up into the Year 8 team. Congratulations to Jade for being awarded 'Player of the Match' by the opposition, and to Lily for receiving Miss Cutting's 'Player of the Match'.
We're looking forward to more games this term!

๐ A night of drama, passion, and talent!
Our incredible students brought Shakespeareโs Macbeth to life with a captivating performance โ a perfect blend of suspense, emotion, and sheer dedication.
A huge well done to all the cast and crew for their hard work, and thank you to everyone who came to support. What a memorable evening! ๐
"In tutor time, Year 7 students had the opportunity to show Mr Hayes the bookwork and classwork they were proud of. They chose what to share, and we were so impressed by the creativity, neatness, and amount of work completed. Keep up the hard work, Year 7 legends!" โ Miss Cutting, Head of Year 7.
๐ As part of our World Book Day programme, local author Sue Wallman ran engaging and interactive workshops for Year 9 pupils on writing thrillers, sparking their imaginations and creativity!
Here are some examples of thriller openings written by the students:
"Silhouetted trees stood before me โ rustling in sync, leaves grazed the brittle sole of my ash-coated high-tops."
"The check engine light flashes a deep, blood red in my dark, cocoon-like car. This time, I steer left off the motorway to park at the SOS stop. Rain drizzles into my hazy eyes as I wave to locate the phone box."
"In the darkest, deepest forest of the Spanish Territory lies a pair of glasses. Not just any pair โ they belonged to my mother. Itโs the only clue to what happened the night she went missing."

โฝThe FA Biggest Ever Football Session returns on 7th March at Twickenham School, the London spotlight event focusing on KS3 and KS4, supporting more curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities for girls in football.
