This is a significant number. But the sad part is that it doesn't even cover the total number of children in care. In England, there were over 80,000 young people in care in 2021. This means that only nearly one in eight children in care were living with foster families. But what about the others? Where are they living?

We need more foster families. We need more people to open their hearts and their homes to children in care. We need more people who are willing to offer love, stability, and security to children who have experienced trauma and loss.
