Our students are going on to study an exciting range of subjects at some of the UK’s most prestigious universities. Destinations this year include French & Arabic at Oxford, Computer Science at King’s, Chemistry at Warwick, Medicine at Sussex & Leicester, English & Italian at Exeter, among many others. It’s great to see some students heading straight into industry, completing degree apprenticeships with top companies including Amazon. 🎓🤩

📚✨ Our A Level English Literature students had an eye-opening visit to Robert Frew Antiquarian Books, where they explored rare and iconic literary treasures.

The trip sparked curiosity, deepened their appreciation for literature, and brought the past to life through pages filled with history. An inspiring experience for all, especially those who are starting to think about university and careers in the subject 📖🧠

What better place to be inspired than in our very own RIBA Stirling Prize winning school? 🏆🤩
Year 12 students interested in careers in Architecture and the built environment were excited to attend the Open Studio of prestigious , those responsible for designing Burntwood School 🏛️👩‍💻
They learnt about how Burntwood was one of their proudest builds, and the achievement of winning Britain’s most prestigious architectural award; as well as more about the processes involved in architectural design and construction. An inspiring day discovering the story behind the success! 💫👷‍♀️

With students from gaining places at the Universities Oxford & Cambridge each year, our Careers & Higher Education programme is designed to support students with these rigorous applications 📄👩‍💻🎓
This term, 25 students visited Jesus College, Oxford to learn more about the university; participate in a sample lecture; discover “how to think like an Oxford student”; and take a walking tour of the city 💭💡
Now to support them with the applications! 🤞

Well done to our Year 12 debaters who participated in a competition with other Wandsworth Sixth Forms today 👏🗣️
Our students were faced with unseen topics and only given 20 minutes to prepare their arguments, so this was a real test of their confidence, initiative and critical thinking skills 🧠💡
We were proud to have won 3 debates across the competition and, with lots of aspiring lawyers and politicians in our midst, look forward to further opportunities to hone our skills! 💪👩‍⚖️
