📣 Student highlight 📣 New archivist intern at Design Center ✨Michelle Bjerke✨ (.design) is an undergraduate student in the School of Fine Arts, studying Graphic Design with a multifaceted skill set that includes knitwear and textile design to bring a focus on integrating hands-on craftsmanship and visual communication. Currently, she serves as the Creative Director of and the Graphic Designer for the . Formerly she studied abroad at Central Saint Martins and completed a studio internship with London-based knitwear designer and founder of as well as instructed crochet classes for adults and children at the center during her semester breaks. Stop by DC and say hello!

📢 Open House! Get to know our passionate students, faculty and staff along with our honorary imaginary feline mascot, Serif (we Huskies for life!), on October 12 and 25.

Student highlight! 📣 our newest archivist intern✨Morgan Curtis ✨ (.art) is an undergraduate student at the University of Connecticut pursuing a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting and Drawing, alongside a minor in Art History. Her paintings highlight inspiration from historical and contemporary works, as well as a heavy focus on color. Beyond her studio work, Morgan has experience in both archival and educational settings. She previously served as an archivist for her high school, developing organizational and research skills, and has worked as an art teacher for , where she guided students in creative expression.

So much fun today exploring wearable letterforms (early prototypes!) by type 1 students.
