We spend so much time getting in our own way. More often than not, the things holding us back or keeping us from our ultimate goals and dream lives is us!
How many times have you wanted to do something, learn something or try something new and talked yourself out of it? We repeat limited mindset dialogues over and over, like a favourite song on a Spotify playlist and the problem with that is that these behaviours become habitual. We divert our internal dialogue and before you know it, we’re creating blockers which keep us feeling stuck.
I invite you to do an internal audit and think about some of the blockers in your life that are all you. One by one, address them and then track the changes & improvements you see.

We all want to evolve and see our big visions come to fruition, but that can’t happen if we don’t embrace change. If you are truly committed to making big shifts for the better, you have to make changes within yourself. You have to embody the person you’re trying to become, so stop waiting for the perfect time & start taking small steps towards your goals, now.

Ho’opnopono is the ancient Hawaiian practise of reconciliation and forgiveness and is used as a form of spiritual healing. Literally translated, “ho’o” means cause and “ponopono” means perfection. It was originally used as a means of resolving conflicts by addressing issues and problems directly and finding a way to make things rights for all parties involved.
Ho’oponopono is all about acknowledging and taking responsibility for your actions and how they impact others. It also involves letting go of resentment and bad feelings. Once you’ve taken these steps, the idea is to repress the Prayer to yourself a number of times whilst focusing on the issue at hand. This is thought to help release negative energy and commence the journey of reconciliation.
Try this practice if there are things you’re holding onto and note how it restores your self love.

When I first read this quote in “Modern Wisdom, Ancient Roots” by , I had to re-read if several times. It’s so simple, yet so impactful. It highlights the fact that most of us tuck away our greatest fears in a little box and file it away, never to be seen. But imagine the power you could take back simply by facing those fears, accepting them for what the are and then letting go.

We are all guilty of masking who we really are whether it be at work, in social situations, with friends.
The truth is, everything we do feeds into our egoistical self: it’s the ultimate ego trip.
In order to reach the true essence of happiness, (not just being “happy” because we have dinner plans or went for a facial), you have to step out of your comfort zone, be vulnerable and show yourself and other people who you are at your core.
The masks we habitually wear are not the true representation of us as people and by always wearing them, we create barriers to happiness, connection, fulfilment and love. Habits can be changed, you just have to want to do it.
Today, I invite you to give yourself the opportunity to take your mask off, even if it’s with a close friend or family member. Let them in, tell them your struggles or your wins and then take an intentional note of how you feel in the moment and afterwards.

I’m sure like me, many of you do really well at avoiding the things you fear the most. But at some point, we all need to pluck up the courage to spring clean that one cupboard we’ve meticulously piled everything into before it all falls out in the massive mess that it is. Gift yourself the time to face whatever it is you’ve been putting off, acknowledge it, accept it and let it go.

What if our failures were simply points on a map that guide us from A to B? Try embracing when things don’t go your way. The likelihood is that you’re going in the direction you need to, not necessarily the direction that you want to. Take note of what’s not working, learn and adapt.

You can’t change the past, so at some point you have to let it go. What kind of person do you want to be? Think about where you’re at right now & accept it. Once you’ve done that, you can start to determine the things you need to work on which take you towards the person you want to be.
The beliefs you create based on past experiences can stop you from moving forward. Those old beliefs don’t have to be carried forward but in order to remove the blockers, you have to be open to challenging your belief system and broadening your perspective.

This message is pervasive across all manner of relationships and settings, from intimate relationships to relationships with colleagues and friends.
When you have an issue or come up against a hurdle, the natural thing is to blame. You want someone to take responsibility and ownership of how you’re feeling in the situation.
What if you switch the focus from who’s right or wrong, to “what’s the right thing to do?” Changing how you approach conflict makes all the difference and can often be the very thing that enables resolution for all involved.

Here are some tips on how to be more present in your everyday life:
1. Have regular breaks from technology/devices
2. Block out time throughout your day to respond to texts or emails.
3. Be out in nature.
4. Single task - we are obsessed with productivity but the fact is, when you try to do four things at once, it all takes longer. It’s about the quality of the time you’re spending on each task, not the length of time
5. Immerse yourself in what you’re doing. If you’re at dinner with friends, leave your phone in your bag and just listen and engage in conversation. People’s time if a gift so don’t take it for granted!
6. Conscious commuting - instead of driving, take the train, or walk or cycle if you can.
7. Make time for self care whatever that looks like for you.
