When I reached out to Aaron ( ) for the first time last year, we both were in very different positions. He’d come from teaching full time and was trying to set himself up with regular clients and I was trying to build a tutoring business.

Now summer is here, we both spent some time reflecting on how our years were. Aaron did 180 hours of tutoring.. I think he’s succeeded in providing a good service.

I am fortunate enough to have Aaron working a bit with Greenhill Academics and to have witnessed how far he’s come.

Sometimes it’s lonely running a business on your own. When I started Greenhill Academics nearly a year ago, I didn’t know people actually spend time helping other people. It’s also kinda fun talking to people who enjoy making stuff happen.

What a crazy few months. Would love to update my friends and fam about current progress with Greenhill Academics.

As A levels and GCSEs come to a close, I wanted to take stock of some numbers since September 2023, when I began full time with this project.

Since then there have been 583 lessons taught over 720 hours.

I have taken on now 23 tutors who just fantastic, and are truly experts in their subjects across the board.

Greenhill Academics has helped 56 students across all levels, from the 11+ to Masters university courses.

By far my most meaningful project was to take on some long-term absentee students (Alex and Hayden) from Simon Langton School in Canterbury. Simon Langton has been so open minded to the value that private tuition can bring, and both Alex and Hayden have blown away every expectation of them.

As a thank you for being part of my network, I'd love to offer help to my close family and friends for some of whom I know that this tuition is so needed.

Some things we are focusing on in the coming months are UCAS applications for which the deadlines are in October 24 (for Oxbridge/Medicine/Dentistry) and January 25, and 11+ admissions tests to secondary schools that are taken early in the next academic year from September.
