Back May 15th ✌🏾

I'm heading to Sri Lanka for a while with Richard to tick some more things off our bucket list (and hit some new milestones in my recovery along the way)️🌍👀

I’ve been debating whether to stay active on IG whilst I’m travelling as it is a little scary walking away from my business...

BUT I know that taking a step back will propel me forwards upon my return💥

If you're looking to start your coaching journey or seek help in your recovery, please contact me in middle of May.

📣 I won't be replying to DMs
📣 I may post on occasion

I'm fully ready to be trekking through the jungle and on a beach without any signal😎🍃

Take care team🧡

How do you feel about your stroke anniversary? Drop your thoughts below🧠

Next month it'll be 3 years since my AVM ruptured and for some reason, I've been feeling more anxious about it this year than I did last year - not sure why.

Some things I've done to help me cope:
✨write down thoughts & feelings (without judgment)
✨talk to loved ones about how I'm feeling
✨allow myself to release my emotions as they surface
✨booked in a session with my counsellor for the week before to give me a safe space to reflect / feel / talk through things

There's no right or wrong way to approach (or ignore) this day, but just know that you're not alone and you will get through it🧠🧡

Kickstart your week with these 6 steps💥

5-10 minutes of writing is an easy way to realign for the week ahead - especially during stroke recovery when we have a million things we're working towards.

TIP👉 If you don’t like writing, say them out loud!

You can come back to these in the week if you’re feeling stuck.

What is your number 1 priority for the week?

Hey team! As we have such a wonderful community on here, I want to hear YOUR voice & get you involved in my content as much as possible… because your voice and story matters 🧡🧠

So! Join me here, every Friday, to reflect and share your thoughts on the topic of the week!

Let’s begin with this⬇️
How would you define stroke recovery?🤨

12/04/2023

Are you a glass half-full, or half-empty kinda person?🤔💧

It's okay to feel frustrated, misunderstood and in pain following your stroke. Your feelings are *so* valid! But if you're sitting with these thoughts for too long, it's no wonder you're feeling stuck, directionless and limited in your ability to move on with your life.

A little work and a few tweaks on your mindset could just be the key you need to unlock the door to your ultimate potential🔐

So, if you're ready to make a change but need some guidance from someone who's been there, I'm here to help you! That's why I created my Surviving to Thriving coaching program. A 3-month coaching program that teaches you confidence, acceptance and mindset tools to overcome self-doubt so that you can THRIVE post-stroke🚀

DM me the word ‘THRIVE’ and let's see if this is for you!😊

Ok Google: why didn't they warn me about these things in stroke recovery??🤨

If you've spent hours online searching for ways to speed up the recovery process, I promise you're not the only one😅

But unfortunately, a personalised recovery roadmap is not something Google has the answers to; because no two recoveries are the same.

It takes time, experience and experimentation to figure your way forward...but what if I told you there is a way to reach your goals faster AND easier?

A way to:
✨go out without feeling self-conscious
✨say yes to social events without thinking twice
✨enjoy doing things you once used to
✨accept where you are whilst still striving for more
✨find happiness in the journey

Investing in a coach like me, who’s distilled 3 years of stroke recovery into a strategic, easy-to-implement, tailored and enjoyable 1-1 coaching programme aptly named the Surviving to Thriving Programme, might just be the thing you've been searching for.

DM me THRIVE if you’d like to chat about it further🧡🧠

Free ways to help your mental health during stroke recovery ❤️‍🩹🌷

What else would you add to this list?🧡💭

Fun fact🤪⬇️

if you don’t think something will work, it won’t ❌

Okay, things might not go to plan (and to be honest, if it’s your first time trying something it probably won’t!) but that’s okay!! The sooner you try, the sooner you’ll succeed.

Think back to when you were first in hospital relearning how to walk or talk; how many times did you have to practice before you saw any signs of improvement? And WHY did you keep trying?

Because even though the rehab was uncomfortable, the thought of staying where you were was *more* uncomfortable. The same goes to everything else - getting back to work, socialising in a busier environment, getting on a plane for the first time (or riding a camel 🐪 )

If you start by practicing courage, your capabilities and confidence will grow with it🌱

Save this post and start implementing this mindset swap into your daily challenges!🔖
