Everyone knows each other! It’s a small little community!

It’s a lovely little village with cute little pubs and cafes!

The scenery and the lake is amazing!

The boat ride along the lake is gorgeous and the walks are beautiful and peaceful.

Autumn is so pretty!

It is less well known so less busy than some other parts of the Lakes!

So, the pace of life has been slower! Everywhere you need to go is a 2 minute walk!

𝕎𝕙𝕪 𝕀 𝕞𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕒 𝕤𝕞𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕠𝕨𝕟 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕃𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕤 𝔻𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕔𝕥 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝟛 𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕙𝕤? 🍁

I quit a job that was taking up a lot of my mental capacity and social space. I was ALWAYS busy.

Life in London is always being on the go… and it’s expensive!

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some truly life changing and amazing times in London, but it is not a sustainable way of life.. especially I you want to work for yourself!

So after travelling a bit and deciding the UK was the easiest place to have a steady income, I found some work that offered live in accommodation! So added bonus of not paying London rent prices!

So what is next.

Although living in the UK has meant travelling to so many stunning locations in Europe, I’ve been counting the days until my flight to Sydney..

… because I get to enjoy an Australian summer again!

… because I’m ready to not feel so burnt out anymore and be settled. I definitely plan to still travel but with a home to come back to!

… Because I want to focus on my mental and physical health properly again!

… because I want to start working for myself.

… and because I want to spend more time with my family!

I definitely consider myself a free spirit & I follow my gut.

The end of 2023 I did exactly this and have gone through some major changes. I enjoyed and embraced the change!

This has meant some of my goals have changed or altered...

Buuut rather than dwelling on the goals I didn’t achieve I want to reflect on those that I did achieve and reframe the goals I set last year to fit into my life now!

Life is an adventure and you have to be adaptable to embrace that adventure!✨

Who else REALLY struggles to get out of bed in the winter!?

I already know that this will be my biggest challenge for the next few months!

And let’s be real living in the UK it will be the next 6 months! 🤣

After almost a full year of living in London, I’ve moved on to a brand new chapter.

I have been hard at work, earning an income and starting a business, I’ve also built a LOT of connections!

…and now I can finally see the horizon of feeling settled in this city…

… it’s a tough place with a lot of ups and downs!

I’m now living in central London and so I’m getting to enjoy the city more! 🌃

I’m also earning more money now that I can put into my business! 🙌

Life is a hustle, but I’ve got so many likeminded people around me both in my work, my business and my friendships… and I feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be right now! 💙

I grew up with adventure in my life, but I still remember the moment the travel bug hit me on my first trip as an adult almost 10 years ago!

I’m so grateful for the things in my life since that moment that brought me to this one… being able to travel to Scotland (among other places) which is crazy beautiful 😍

In this moment I felt like I was flying! I was just so happy, inspired and mesmerised and it was just yet another instance where I knew this is where I need to be!!

𝔸𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕝𝕤𝕠 𝕒𝕟 𝕒𝕕𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕥𝕦𝕔𝕜 𝕚𝕟 𝕒 𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕖?

You go to work, commute, save up for a trip, travel, go home broke and then do it all over again!

Last year I started building a business that will allow me to get out of this cycle! Now I am building a life that will allow me to make travelling more sustainable and long term!

I’m beginning to realise that maybe I was made for the island life 😂

I love being by the water, I crave the sunshine and the laidback lifestyle that comes with it!

I had such different expectations about Greece and had such amazing experiences…

… and my favourite part about travelling, met so many like minded people!

It’s finally time to travel again! I ABSOLUTELY love the anticipation, excitement and even the journey when travelling ❤️

It’s been a few months since my last trip, and today had me thinking about all the craziness that’s happened since the last time I did this!

…. Felt a lot more overwhelmed about living in London and have settled in a lot more since the start of the year.

…. A stolen phone resulting in a sh*tty backup phone and finally getting a decent upgrade 🤣

…. First winter in the UK, and realising I don’t want to go through another one, so now I’m planning to chase the summer!

…. Living in a ridiculously expensive city and finding a way to accept and not stress about my bank account!

And now it’s time for a much deserved break, so get ready for some travel spam! 😍
