First you learn the basic words to describe feelings - happy, sad, angry, etc.
But as your language level improves, you might want to express yourself in other ways. For example, the word ‘indignant’ shows a dissatisfaction with a situation because you don’t think it’s fair.

Museums and galleries in England are ‘due’ to reopen on 17 May!
The two places I will visit first will be the National Gallery and the which has a giant skeleton of a blue whale hanging in the main hall.
The unfortunate whale was ‘stranded’ for two days on the east coast of Ireland in 1891. As locals could do nothing to help it, a lifeboat pilot harpooned the whale to ‘put it out of its misery’.
🔴 due /dʒuː/ (adjective) = expected
🔴 stranded /ˈstræn.dɪd/ (adjective) = not able to leave somewhere because of a problem
🔴 put out of one’s misery = to end suffering

🔴 zonked out = fall asleep because of being exhausted
❓How do you like to take it easy?
❓What other ways can we say tired?
If you are in England, you may hear native speakers saying both of these sentences, but only one is grammatically correct.
❓Do you find any grammar point confusing?
❓Should we say a) are you coming with Mark and me OR b) are you coming with Mark and I?

London has some incredible music venues.
One of them is the ‘iconic’ Union Chapel, which has hosted both well known and little known musicians from a range of ‘genres’.
Some of the more famous to grace its stage include Tom Jones, Amy Winehouse and U2.

🔴 genre /ˈʒɑ̃ː.rə/ (noun) = a style of artistic work
❓What is the best concert you’ve been to?
