Celebrating World Book Day all week long at nursery! πβ¨
The children have been enjoying lots of wonderful story times, exploring story-inspired tuff trays, and dressing up as their favourite book characters. From feeding the very hungry caterpillar to climbing the beanstalk with Jack, our little learners have loved bringing their favourite stories to life through play and imagination. π±ππ
It has been a fantastic week encouraging a love of books, storytelling and creativity! ππ

Our toddlers explored a βworm huntβ tuff tray filled with soil, wiggly worms and creepy crawlies. This hands-on activity sparked curiosity, encouraged fine motor skills, and inspired lots of imaginative conversations about what lives underground.πͺ±π

Our little learners explored the beauty of Ramadan through this hands-on sensory tray πβ Using rice and natural materials, we created moons and stars while talking about kindness, gratitude, and helping others π
We also enjoyed reading books about Ramadan π, helping us understand why Muslims fast, pray, and celebrate this special month.

Celebrating Chinese New Year in our nursery π§§β¨
Our little learners have been busy exploring the traditions of Chinese New Year through hands-on, sensory play! From scooping and pouring colourful rice, practising their fine motor skills with chopsticks, to recognising numbers and creating beautiful lantern designs β every activity has helped spark curiosity about different cultures and celebrations.
This year we welcome the Year of the Horse π β a symbol of strength, energy and perseverance. Weβve loved watching the children engage, explore and learn through play as they discovered new traditions together.

Our little ones have been getting into the Valentineβs spirit with lots of hands-on, heart-filled fun β€οΈ
From exploring our sensory trays filled with pink sand and rose petals, to scooping, pouring and shaping heart creations, the children have loved discovering different textures and using their fine motor skills. πΈβ¨
Weβve also been getting creative decorating our own heart crafts with paint and glitter β making beautiful masterpieces to celebrate love and friendship. π¨π

Our preschoolers worked together to design and build their very own zoo/farm enclosure using wooden blocks and animal figures. Through imagination, teamwork and problem-solving, they shared ideas, negotiated spaces and brought their creations to life. A wonderful example of collaborative, child-led learning in action β¨
