As you are aware we have been working hard to earn ourselves The Green Flag Award from the Eco-Schools programme. Through continuous hard work from members of the team and the enthusiasm of the children we completed our application and have achieved.........'Green Flag with Distinction!' Well done to 'Harry and his bucketful of Muddy Heroes.' This would not have happened without the contributions of the team and Thank you to the parents who have supported us through the process.

Attached is the feedback we received from our application.

We will be sure to get a big group picture when our flag arrives.

Birds are singing, children full of bright delight,

Our children have so much artist flare .

Today we will dance around the may pole in the bright blue sky.

Brigitte great at gathering the masses,

Beray soon to be that beautiful bride,

She has the cleaning key!

Louise with amazing organisational skills,

And ME well I enjoy each and every thrill.

For the last month some of your children’s teachers have been taking part in a squat challenge. Building up day by day to our eventual finale today which was to accomplish 250 squats!!! To help promote physical activity and our growing counting skills Our Macaws and Quetzals became our counting judges to make sure we completed all 250….. Even joining in for the final stretch… any ideas of what our next challenge should be?

I'm in my 39th year of early years and to have one of the team read this to me at 7:15 am means the world.

Children deserve an excited adult. They need someone who's ready to explore and laugh - someone who's looking for those magic moments, full of high fives coming down the line with energy radiating all around. Our children have far more issues to deal with at home than many of us realise. School is their safe place , their one true home. They want and need us come to school every day, ready to surround them with love, encouragement and hope.

Leave your problems in your car. Take a deep breath and focus on the positive. Find hope. Children need the best you. Step out and be your best every single day. BE AWESOME! THE CHILDREN DESERVE IT!
