What an amazing term we have had, from the visits to the theatre, ice-skating, our school disco and Christmas fair! This week we held our Christmas concert, Christmas dinner and carol singing at Saint Anne's retirement home. We would like to say a big thank you to all of the staff, parents, carers and relatives who came and supported the school and our amazing pupils for always willing to participate and live our values and ethos through all they do. Wishing all a Merry Christmas.

Hispanic Day was great fun thanks to Senior Enric and the staff that taught the children about Hispanic culture through practical and fun activities. The highlight of the day was the whole school ‘Macarena’ dance in the playground. Thanks to everyone that helped and to parents that supported the children in dressing in their Hispanic colours.

Our Year 6 pupils have been busy over the last few weeks, school disco and theatre trip. The children made us proud as they sat beautifully throughout the production and took in this wonderful occasion. They even came away with some ideas for their own production! We are extremely proud and excited to see their version of their own production of the Wizard of Oz being held at school soon.

Thank you to all the parents who came along it was such a lovely morning, and we even managed a few happy tears when the children presented their Mother’s Day cards and flowers to their loved ones. Our early years class had a great trip to the local fire station in Stoke Newington. This is the first time some of our pupils have visited a fire station and they were amazed by the fire engines!

Year 4 recently visited Europe’s first traditional Hindu Temple. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir – popularly known as the Neasden Temple – is dedicated to the worship of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the millennia-old traditions of the Hindu faith. It is a masterpiece of traditional Hindu design and
exquisite Indian workmanship in the heart of London. Using 5,000 tonnes of Bulgarian limestone and Italian and Indian marble, it was hand-carved in India before being assembled in London in just 2½ years. Year 4 were amazed at the intricate carvings and learned about the world’s oldest living faith.

Year 5 had the opportunity to visit Tower Bridge to explore their local area and the London skyline where they spent the day as architects. They loved the workshop, and they are very excited to receive their models of their designs once they have been 3D printed. However, their favourite bit was definitely the glass walkway.

Year 2 recently visited the Science Museum in South Kensington.
This visit linked in with our Year 2 working scientifically skills e.g. observing closely, performing simple tests, sorting and grouping things etc
We went to the pattern pod and the garden. The children had a great time scientifically enquiring the activities in the two environments.
In the pattern pod they could investigate light, colour and pattern and in the Garden they investigated construction, water, light and sound.
It was a very busy day but we all had a great time!
