Little Haven Childcare

Our Gardening Club crew have been hard at work, and it really shows!
The children have been taking such great care of our growing vegetables, watering them, checking in on them daily, and making sure they’re getting everything they need to thrive. It’s been lovely to see their sense of responsibility and pride as they watch their plants grow bigger and stronger each day.
We can’t wait to see what delicious veggies we’ll be harvesting soon!

What a wonderfully busy week we’ve had!
Our curious toddlers have been on a mini beast adventure, exploring the world of beetles, bugs, and all things tiny. From carefully observing creepy crawlies to excitedly sharing their discoveries with friends, it’s been a week full of wonder, learning, and lots of muddy hands!
To top it all off, we loved welcoming our parents in to join us for tea, such a special way to share these moments together. Thank you for being part of our little explorers’ journey!

It has been a fulfilled fun week for our Hub Room this week. Celebrating St Patrick’s Day, to climbing, circle story time, and lots more learning including counting and learning our colours

What a fantastic World Book Character Day we had!
The children had so much fun coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters. From magical wizards to adventurous heroes, it was wonderful to see so many stories come to life throughout the day.
A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us to read with the children. Your support helped make the day extra special and created some lovely moments of shared storytelling.
The smiles, imagination, and excitement around books truly showed how much the children enjoyed celebrating the joy of reading together.

❄️🐧 This week, our interest table is taking the children on an exciting journey to the Arctic and Antarctic!
Through hands-on exploration, the children are expanding their understanding of the world by discovering the amazing animals that live in these icy regions. They are learning about the unique climate, feeling different textures, and developing early maths skills by counting the animals.
A fun and interactive way to spark curiosity, learning, and imagination! 🌍✨

Wow. What a journey it’s been.
To our amazing preschoolers, we’ve laughed, danced, played, and learned together. From day one, you brought your full selves into Little Haven, and it’s been pure Joy watching you grow. We’ve seen big smiles, cheeky moments, and so much love and now, just like that, it’s time to send you off on your next big adventure.
Saying goodbye isn’t easy , truthfully, we’re going to miss you all very much. But more than anything, we are proud. Proud of how far you have come. Proud of who you’re becoming. And proud to have been part of your story, even for a little while.
To the wonderful families, thank you. Thank you for trusting us, for showing up, for sharing your beautiful children with us. You’ve been part of this village, and we’re grateful for every conversation at the door, every smile, every moment of support. It means the world.
As you head off to “big school,” go with confidence, go with love, and go knowing that you are deeply celebrated. You’re ready. And we’ll be right here cheering you on from afar.

A Bittersweet Goodbye
We witnessed one of those truly special moments in nursery life two wonderful friends sharing a big hug, full of joy, laughter, and just a little goodbye.
As the time comes to leave nursery and step into the exciting world of Reception Class, we know it’s not always easy. Friendships formed in the Early Years are full of meaning. These bonds are often a child’s first real experience of connection, kindness, and shared adventures.
In the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), transitions like this are a huge part of growing up. They help children learn about change, build emotional resilience, and open the door to new beginnings. But before that next chapter begins, there’s always space to pause, hug tight, and celebrate what was.
Watching our little ones say goodbye not with sadness, but with joy and pride reminds us just how ready they are. Ready to explore, to learn, and to keep building friendships that will stay with them for years to come.

Welcome to our new building site!
This week, our little builders have been busy constructing, building, and mixing in the sand in our exciting new role-play construction zone.

From hard hats to teamwork, there’s been so much learning through play, problem-solving, creativity, and lots of sandy fun.

Happy Father’s Day to all our amazing dads!

Today we’re sending big hugs, sticky handprints, and toddler-approved high-fives to all the superheroes we call Dad, Daddy, Dada, and “No, mine!”

Whether you’re the king of bedtime stories, the champion of piggybacks, or just really good at assembling flat-pack furniture with “help” from a two-year-old—today is for you.

Thank you for the cuddles, the laughs, the early morning snack missions, and for always being there with open arms (and occasionally a baby wipe). You’re all doing an incredible job, even if you’ve forgotten what a full night’s sleep feels like!
