In my last SEND advocacy job, I have been supporting a family asking for an EHC Assessment. We met with the LA and all parties involved and unfortunately the LA declined the request.
Due to lack of funding, many LA are setting higher thresholds for ECHs but remember this is unlawful! Websites such as www.ipsea.org.uk support families through this long journey.
