If you've experienced a toxic workplace, then you're probably familiar with the feelings of negativity, stress, and conflict that can come with it.
As someone who has been there myself, I know how hard it can be to leave a job that no longer serves you. You might be struggling with emotional baggage, wondering if this is really the job for you.
Toxic workplaces can have a devastating impact on employees, and it's not always easy to recognise when you're in one. I used to think it was just a fact of life, but I eventually realised that the behavior I was experiencing was not normal or acceptable.
Unfortunately, it's easy to feel powerless and think that speaking up will only make things worse. However, we often have more power than we realise.
In fact, we may be inadvertently contributing to the toxic workplace culture. This can happen in a number of ways, such as through our silence and inaction when we see mistreatment or unfairness, by mimicking the same unacceptable behavior, or by being negative and complaining.
I know from personal experience that silence can be complicity. By not speaking up, we're allowing the toxic behavior to continue, and that's not fair to ourselves or our coworkers. It's often not until we are personally affected that we wish we had spoken up. But I urge you to stand up for yourself and your coworkers. It's the only way to make things better.
By taking a holistic approach, we can find practical and empowering strategies for self-care, building a supportive network, and finding gratitude and forgiveness.
So if you're in a toxic workplace, don't give up hope. You have the power to make a difference. By speaking up, breaking the cycle of learned behavior, and taking care of yourself, you can reclaim your joy and move forward in life.

A new day, a new week, a new month and a fresh start!
I love September. I feel refreshed after the school holidays which I was so blessed to be able to enjoy with my kids who are are now back at school. I am ready to embrace the last four months of 2022 with renewed strength and vigor and I have so many exciting things planned.
Whether you are in the Southern hemisphere welcoming in the beauty of Spring and looking forward to a fresh start and new beginnings that this season represents or in the Northern hemisphere and entering the serenity of Autumn which represents change, letting go and balance, this is your season and your time to focus on YOU.
I have been very quiet on Social Media over the past month or so as I've been dealing with some personal family matters. Although this has been a bit of a tough time, it's also forced me to really consider what is important to me and has reminded me of the need for self-care in my life and I am excited to be back online to share some of the amazing ideas that I've come up with and strategies that I've been implementing in my life to get myself back on track!
