Dear All,
Thank you all for your ongoing support and encouragement. Marking was tougher this year, but JP still achieved a double A* in A Level Maths and Further Maths, and LP still gained entry to Oxford to study Bio-Chemistry. Following marking of H640/01 (A Level Maths and Mechanics), I have updated the site with recent Exams. As well as a number of improvements, I have added AQA and OCR MEI A Level Maths (to existing OCR (A) and Edexcel). Consequently, the site has all the major UK A Level Maths Syllabi covered at the start of the new School Year. I hope you'll join me to realise your own top grades in Summer 2024.
May the Force ( = Mass x Acceleration) be With You,
Gerard.

Maurits Cornelis Escher was a Dutch graphic artist who made mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. Despite wide popular interest, Escher was for most of his life neglected in the art world, even in his native Netherlands.
His work features mathematical objects and operations including impossible objects, explorations of infinity, reflection, symmetry, perspective, truncated and stellated polyhedra, hyperbolic geometry, and tessellations. Although Escher believed he had no mathematical ability, he interacted with the mathematicians George Pólya, Roger Penrose, Harold Coxeter and crystallographer Friedrich Haag, and conducted his own research into tessellation.
I can't think of much to say, but I understand I've got to start posting for organic marketing. (I just discovered what "organic marketing" means.) I've been impressed with how people I know manage to keep making topical and humorous posts; it sounds like the people I know conduct strategic analyses of the international economy at their leisure, while I'm struggling to find my next employer, and playing Solitaire to reduce the stress. I hope to soon discover their secrets, so I too can start making wise pronouncements on a daily basis, and take my place alongside the Captains of Industry. (If you don't know what "organic marketing" means, then I'm one step ahead of you.)
