We wanted to share with our Alonim community that we’ll be holding a Farewell Kabbalat Shabbat to mark 43 years of Alonim Pre-School Nursery.

As many of you already know, the nursery will be closing at the end of the summer term. With that in mind, we’d love to bring past and present families, teachers and friends together to reconnect and acknowledge everyone that has made Alonim the special place that it is.

WHAT A LOVELY WAY TO END THE YEAR!

Our nursery family picnic in the park was such a fun celebration of everything that makes this place special — the children's laughter, the support from families, and the warm community vibe that’s grown here day by day, year by year.

Big thanks to all the amazing families for being such an important part of the children’s early years with us. It’s been a real joy to learn and grow together.

Looking ahead to September, it’s exciting to welcome back familiar faces and meet some new ones too. And to those heading off to start school — sending lots of love and best wishes. You’ll always be part of the Alonim family!

END OF YEAR LOVE

The end of term always brings a mix of emotions — happy memories, proud moments, and a few teary goodbyes.

We’ve also received some lovely messages from families — and honestly, they’ve meant so much.

Here’s one we’re still smiling about:

“Olivia has really grown up and gotten a huge amount out of her time at Alonim. Lucy, Beverly, Rosemary, Patsy, Ruth and Natalie have experience which shines through and it’s clear they have great affection for Olivia. GRADUATION DAY JOY

Graduation Day at Alonim was a really lovely way to celebrate all the fantastic children and everything they’ve achieved.

We couldn’t have been prouder watching them pop on their little caps, sing their songs, and enjoy their moment. It’s been such a pleasure to see them grow and learn — and while they’ll be missed, it’s clear they’re ready for whatever comes next.

A big thank you to all the families for your support and for letting us be part of this important stage in your child’s life. It’s meant a lot.

As we say goodbye to those heading off on new adventures, we’re also looking ahead to September — welcoming back familiar faces and meeting new ones joining the Alonim community.

FROM EGG TO DUCKLING - A QUACKTASTIC ADVENTURE!
Things got seriously egg-citing at the nursery last week as our Living Eggs project took flight!
The children watched in wonder as tiny ducklings hatched before their eyes, gave them the gentlest cuddles, and even helped them learn to swim (with plenty of giggles along the way!).
It was fluffy, funny, and full of heart – a hands-on experience that brought nature, curiosity, and big smiles right into our classroom.

Our curious crew had an incredible day out at Whitewebbs Museum of Transport recently– and what an adventure it was! From hopping on vintage buses to discovering old-fashioned fire engines, our little learners were completely captivated.
Experiences like this bring learning to life – sparking imagination, building confidence, and creating joyful memories.
