Come & Walk With Me - This is the first of many family friendly nature hikes that I’ll be leading this year.

Saturday the 15th we will explore Boxhill, Surrey and take part in a family nature trail/beginner friendly hike and would really love for those in my community to join. This hike is for both families and beginners so please don’t shy away if you haven’t got children or are coming alone because you’re more than welcome 🌳

*Meeting point will be boxhill visitors centre/Shepard’s hut the post code KT20 7LB for 11am*

Afterwards we will sit for a group picnic and just enjoy this very special location.

This event is free but in the future I will be charging a small fee per family just to cover my time organising.

There are toilets and café located on the site aswell as somewhere to refill water.

Do bring water and food bits with you unless you’re happy to go to the cafe.

Hello all,

It’s almost wild garlic season again, and this year I’ll be hosting a very special workshop!

During the session, we’ll make freshly churned butter using a variety of methods, both manual and mechanical. We’ll then flavour our butter with freshly sourced wild garlic before using the leftover buttermilk to make cheese and wild garlic scones.

You’ll leave with a fresh block of wild garlic butter, a batch of freshly baked cheddar and wild garlic scones, and a lovely bunch of wild garlic to use at home as you wish.

The workshop will be held in SE16 7LS, very close to Canada Water Station.

Willow Catkin Harvest 🌱

These little fur balls will be dried out for use as a natural tinder aka (fire lighting material)

Love this picture…here we are harvesting Willow catkins from the Willow Tree to dry and use as flash tinder for starting fires.
