What happens after your Form F assessment?

Completing your Form F assessment is a huge step on your fostering journey, and we know it can feel like a lot to take in. Once your assessment has been completed, our fostering team carefully reviews everything to make sure all the information needed has been gathered and that you have been fully supported throughout the process. If your assessment is recommended to progress, the next exciting step is Panel. 🌟

Panel is an independent group of professionals who will look at your assessment and consider your suitability to become a foster carer. We understand that waiting for your panel date can feel a little nerve-wracking, but please remember that you are not waiting alone. Your assessing social worker and fostering team at will continue to support you, keep you updated and answer any questions you may have along the way.

Came across this at Tate Modern and was 😍 nora chipaumire’s ‘gadzi’ draws on the legends, stones and soil of Zimbabwe, my own family’s roots. The balancing rocks, the sound, the whole thing felt like it was speaking to something ancestral. Beautiful to see Zimbabwean stories held in a space like this ✨

When a foster child first moves into your home, it can be a big moment filled with uncertainty, emotions and new beginnings.
It’s about creating a safe space, offering patience and reassurance, and giving them time to settle in at their own pace. Sometimes, the smallest things — a warm welcome, a favourite meal or simply being there — can make a world of difference.

I went to the National Portrait Gallery and came across this painting by Chloe Cox, ‘What’s Mine is Yours’, a portrait of Marva and Lionel Warmington, who’ve fostered over 200 children in 30 years. I felt like the artist captured the warmth and love that many foster carers possess. I also loved that their picture is hung in the gallery. A beautiful tribute to foster carers 🧡

When I asked my mum why she founded ,her answer was deeply personal. Having been a foster carer herself for many years, she saw first-hand the difference that the right support, stability and care can make in a child’s life. She wanted to create an agency that truly understood the fostering journey — one that put children, young people and foster families at the heart of everything it did.
