These classes are for our young school starters. In these classes, children will build upon their conversational English skills with a chance to hone and uplevel their vocabulary. They will begin to read and interact with a plethora of stories- looking at rhyme, new vocabulary and beginning comprehension activities. Children will have a set phonics time within this class, looking at, learning and practicing new sounds each week. KS1 classes

These classes really allow children to apply their English language skills, not only in a conversational aspect but also written. Children will continue to learn phonics in each class and have time to practice and apply the sounds they have learnt. There will be a fun, interactive story each week with comprehension activities, new vocabulary and a chance for children to read a variety of texts. Children will learn to write different pieces each week. KS2

These classes really focus on reading, writing and grammar. Children will get to read quality texts and use these to advance their comprehension skills. Quality writing time will be linked to the set book or on occasions will be a stand alone piece.
