We have had a great day celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. The children have learnt the story behind the day, creating their own pictures, went on a shamrock treasure hunt to find the golden coins and all dressed up with some face paint! We are now enjoying a Irish disco at soft play!☘️☘️☘️

We are so lucky that a parent of one of our little stars come in today to show us his fireman outfit and equipment and spoke about fire safety!🔥🚒🧯The children were amazed and got to try on his outfit!🚒

Pre-school have been getting creative and made their very own christmas tree decorations!⛄️

Toddlers 1’s have been using natural resources to create christmas wreaths!🍁🎄

Great afternoon yesterday doing a FREE taster at Starjumps Nursery Potters Bar! 🌟

We did a double session for both French 🇨🇵 and Spanish 🇪🇸. The children did so well and were really engaged at both sessions through our songs 🎶 and actions 🏃🏻

I C T C L A S S 💻

We had another taster session today. This was an ICT class by a company named Click It!💻 The children were amazing at using their listening ears to follow instructions!👂 They used their fine motor skills by using their pointer finger to click the magic button and complete the online games!👆

B A L L E T & Y O G A C L A S S 🩰🧘‍♂️

Today, we had our first taster session for ballet & yoga classes. It’s fair to say our little stars LOVED this. The teacher was amazing also!🩰 Look out this week for our posts on a range of different taster sessions we have in store. This involves French, Spanish, ICT, Gymnastics, Football etc.

The Pre-school children have been busy creating word soups!🙌 The aim of the activity was to pick a 3 letter word. They then had to sound out the letters to figure out what the word was. After, use the tweezers and pick up the letters needed to make the 3 letter word!🔡

This morning, the pre-school children have been busy creating some delicious meals using coloured spaghetti🍽. They even worked on their cutting skills by using scissors to snip the spaghetti!✂️

S T A R J U M P S F L O R I S T 🌸🌼

Welcome to Starjumps Florist!🌸 In the tuff tray we put some old flowers, scissors and pieces of ribbon✂️🎀. The children enjoyed cutting the flowers, naming the parts and creating their own bouquets!💐 We even had some petal soup!🥣

S T A R J U M P S G R A D U A T I O N 2 0 2 1 🎓

The children preformed an amazing song to their family members… the tissues were ready!🤧 We then watched a video of our stars journeys here at Starjumps and handed out some certificates to our Graduates!👏 We finished the day off with a picnic outside in the amazing sunshine🌞. Thank you so much to for kindly making us an amazing graduation cake which tasted as good as it looked!🍰 Thank you to our lovely parents for coming! Well done to our Pre-School team for putting together an amazing graduation party!🎉 We want to finish off by saying good luck to our Pre-School stars for their new and exciting adventure as they head off to primary school! We know you will go so far and achieve all your dreams❤️

This week, Babies story of the week is ‘How to Catch a Star ⭐️’ by Oliver Jeffers. Babies have been taking part in a range of activities based around this book. They have played with a rocket themed tuff tray, yellow play dough with star cutters and created their very own star pictures!⭐️🌠

P I R A T E W E E K ! 🏴‍☠️

This week the Toddlers have been exploring pirates! They have created their very own pirate hats to wear while searching for treasure!🪙👑 The Toddlers even had ago at making some yummy crispy cake ships to sail the sea in🍫⚓️.

Here are one of Pre-schools tuff trays this week!🔢 Maths is an important part of learning for children in the early years because it provides vital life skills. They will help children problem solve, measure and develop their own spatial awareness, and teach them how to use and understand shapes🟥🟡🔷

The babies story of the week is ‘The Gruffalo’🐭🦉🦊🐍. The babies have been busy exploring the Gruffalo themed tuff tray and painting their own characters!🎨

S T O R Y O F T H E W E E K ! 📚

This week, the babies story of the week was ‘sometimes I feel sunny’☀️. The children all gathered in the book corner to listen to the book📖. They sat nicely and listened to the story, paying attention to the pictures within the book.
Once they had finished the story, the babies sat at the table to create a sun collage using yellow tissue paper🖼.

Here is one of our tuff trays from this week! The baby team created a farm theme tray for the children to play, explore and sing with!🐑🐷🐖🐓

S T A R J U M P S C A R W A S H 🚗🧽

As today was such a beautiful day, we decided to pop on some aprons, grab some sponges, fill up some buckets of water and clean one of our teachers cars!🚗🧽

S T R I N G B I R D N E S T S🐣

The Pre-school children have been busy creating their own bird nests! We have put together some instructions together in case you was interesting
in making your own!

What you will need:
•A tub
•String or wool in your chosen colours
•PVA glue
•A plastic cup

H o w t o m a k e:

1. First you need to mix a small amount of water with your PVA glue in a tub.

2. Dip your string/wool into the mixture until all covered.

3. Using your fingers, drain off any excess glue.

4. Wrap your string/wool around the upside down plastic cup.

5. Wait until dry, then pop the plastic cup out.

6. Then have fun adding some Easter props to your nest. We added chocolate eggs, mini easter eggs, a little chick and a Happy Easter message from the Pre-school Team!

As yesterday morning was such a beautiful day, we decided to adventure out of the centre!🗺 We started off the day in the park. We then decided to go for a long walk!🚶🏽‍♂️ So we popped on the maps with the destination at a view point of the tran rail lines!🛤 On our way, The children had their very own Starjumps Tour! We spotted a bus stop, roundabout and a post box on our travels and explained their uses!📮🚏 The children learnt the importance of road safety and how zebra crossings work🦺. When we had to change direction I would ask the children if they knew which way left or right was. They would point us in the right direction!⬅️➡️ We then arrived at the train station and watched some trains whizz past!🚝 The public were also so lovely to us and gave us a wave (from a distance of course)👋. We then adventured back to nursery and even saw some of our mummies and daddies on route!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We didn't return to nursery quietly, the children learnt a new song!🎶 We sung this all the way back! We then arrived back just in time for lunch!🍽 What a busy morning!
