✨🐉 Lunar New Year Fun! 🧧

Today the children went on a little treasure hunt — searching for coins to place inside our lucky envelopes! There was so much excitement as they counted, compared and carefully tucked their “good fortune” away.

We also explored mark-making using red and gold glitter colours to create our own Chinese New Year cards. The sparkle, swirls and patterns looked beautiful and the children loved talking about luck, happiness and new beginnings.

Spa day at nursery for Children’s Mental Health Week 💛

Warm feet soaks, calm music, cosy blankets, and breathing exercises helped us practise relaxing our bodies and minds. Supporting wellbeing starts early — and our little ones loved every minute!

🐦 This week in the Pre-School room we’ve been exploring birds!

🦖 Baby Room Activity – Exploring Dinosaurs! 🦖

Today our little buds enjoyed a dinosaur-themed sensory play inspired by the book “Dinosaurs.”

The children had great fun using the tuff tray filled with sand and dinosaurs, digging and discovering hidden “gems” – supporting their curiosity, fine motor skills, and early language development.

We also set up a colourful water play tray with dinosaurs, giving the babies the chance to splash, pour, and explore different textures and colours.

A wonderful hands-on way to bring stories to life and encourage sensory learning! 💚

Children’s Book of the Week: Winter

The children enjoyed exploring our book of the week, Winter. To support the story, they took part in an exciting tuff tray activity with a winter animal theme. The children explored the tray using their imaginations, talking about winter animals and their habitats while making links to the story. This hands-on experience helped develop their language, curiosity, and understanding of the winter season.

Through sensory tuff tray play and early mark making, little hands and curious minds are discovering new textures, movements, and experiences. These moments support physical development, curiosity, and a love for the natural world from the very start 💚
