I'm going to close the Just Giving page today and let this amazing charity claim their money, which with the addition of gift aid comes to about £750!

So it's nearly time!

After 4pm, my hair will be the shortest it has ever been for over 50 years!

You might think 'So what?', but for me, it's a big deal!!

I'm being encouraged to go as short as I dare - so that the little girl who is given my hair, can have pigtails and bunches and feel human again after cancer has likely destroyed her world.

So please help me make this come true for her - it costs over £500 to turn my hair into a wig and we are so nearly there!!!

So the decision was the style of 4, but maybe shorter like 2!

BUT, after an abrupt and uncharitable encounter with a hairdresser at Claus & Co I have had to delay the cut!

I was kept waiting for 40 minutes and then informed, they could ONLY do the cut for the donated hair, and could not do any styling after and would have no time to do a proper cut even if I did pay them for it.

How could they be happy sending me out of their salon with a haircut I could have done myself?

Out of principle I left and WILL NOT be handing over any money.

The whole point of this is to raise money to support children who have no hair as a result of CANCER and if this hairdresser cannot support this charity with a simple wet cut/styling then I feel obliged to find one that will.

I hope they never have a little girl with cancer.

But all's well that ends well and I am now getting it done at a lovely Hairdressers in Petts Wood on Friday who is doing the whole thing for me including a simple style afterwards and is also going to take videos etc to put on their website/socials with my justgiving link too!

Hi All, I hope has had a good week and that if you are still going through your divorce, you have made some progress?

I promise it'll all be over at some point, and life will be good again (and I speak from experience - both mine and my clients!).
But this weekend, I wanted to share with you a technique that might help speed up this painful process, one that has been successfully used by a famous billionaire for years!

Taylor Swift !

Possibly not who you thought I was going to mention, but look at the evidence. Her rise to fame, outstanding success, billions of dollars....at the pinnacle of her career,

..and she has done this through writing. Writing about her feelings and her heartbreak.

Sometimes sad, sometimes angry, sometimes defiant, always emotional and today in the news, as she talked about the launch of her new album, it became very clear to me that she has been using this technique to help recover from heartbreak.

I bet she has written about every emotion you have had as you have navigated your divorce and she uses this deliberately to help her heal.

She was quoted as saying;
"Songwriting is something that gets me through my life, It feels like a purge."

Her lyrics tell of being so depressed she can't get out of bed, comfort-eating children's cereal, and crying at the gym.

She writes songs about her pain. I wrote a fictional novel about mine. What have you written to help you heal? A letter? A poem? A song? Even a paragraph or an entry in your journal?
