A very wet, windy, hilly Parkrun this morning on the Isle of Wight. It’s a great run though, and always well organised with so many pacers and volunteers. Great job Until next time.
I wasn’t expecting much today, just wanted to get out for a run so a new PB was a nice surprise, even if it was only a few seconds. I’ll take that.
It was so wet I didn’t take my phone with me so photo is from when we got back.

This is interesting. Kombucha may help reduce glucose spike when drunk with food.
Loving that studies are now supporting beliefs that kombucha consumers have held for a long time. 💚

Introducing ‘Deborah’s Daily Dose’ 2
After having persistant UTIs and finally clear 🤞 I’m taking regular prevention measures. So I have a shot of this pure cranberry juice first thing in the morning. I then add some to my water bottle and drink at least 2 litres of water a day.
Whilst knowing cranberry juice is meant to help it was only when a GP who specialises in urinary gynaecology asked if I was taking it that I took it seriously.
Hope this helps anyone who has any UTI issue. Make sure to get the pure juice and not the supermarket drinks with sugar etc added. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. And don’t suffer in silence seek help from your GP. It took me several requests to get the correct type and duration of antibiotics to clear it. Whilst I would like to avoid taking antibiotics as they upset the gut biome sometimes you need them. Medical science is an amazing thing and can be combined with more natural effective remedies. UTIs are more common in menopausal women as the lack of oestrogen impacts many parts of the body you wouldn’t expect and there are other things you can try that help. I’m not a doctor so do your research and ask for help.

It’s been a week of weird weather! I was convinced a storm was brewing today and now it’s bright and sunny. The dark clouds remaining just add some interesting atmosphere to the scene. Also very grateful not to experience what southern Europe and other countries across the world have been going through. May not be the Summer weather we want but better this than that!
Thought for the day…. Be grateful for what you have and not what you don’t. 😉
Need some help with some positive mindset and how to make the most of life? I’m here to help with transformational coaching of all kinds including yoga breathing practices.

Time for a spot of balancing breathing.
Feeling rather hot and bothered and flustered after a dash for the train to get to the rehearsal for my Flamenco performance later. So I’m not in the calm but energised state I want to be. So this is the perfect time to quietly and discreetly practice my balancing ‘water’ category breathing.
Just 5 mins later and I’m feeling balanced and positive

Fifty First Parkrun I’ve done the majority of parkruns at Tooting which is my ‘home’ venue and have never taken a picture here. So as I did my fiftieth parkrun parkrun i thought I’d mark it today with my new 50 top.

First coaching session of swim retreat with Efficient Swimming - learning the correct breathing technique. Inhale through the mouth, exhale through the nose. Lots of good bubble blowing!
Tricky to learn when used to yoga breathing but they all did well.
Now to put it to work with the stroke.

Serene and still sea in Seaview yesterday evening when we arrived for our first swim. Like a mill pond, hardly a ripple and so quiet. Perfect swimming conditions. Enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing swim before dinner. This is one of the spots we swim at on our swim retreats. Can’t wait to share this with our guests next month.
