Sunnyside nursery pre school

The children were very excited to come back to nursery today to see all their peers(and of course their lovely teachers 👩‍🏫) they had a fun day building towers with the soft foam bricks,drawing pretty flowers and riding around in the car. It was good to see our sunnysiders again today.

Today the children experimented with different textures under their feet.... the green one is too spiky!!! I like blue one it’s not bumpy!! All the children had a turn at this activity and were given the choice to use their hands or their feet to feel the different textures.

The children were very busy today. They went outside in the garden to look and listen to the traffic sounds outside,the children saw big buses,little buses,a police car.....and a giant cup of coffee. They drew dinosaurs 🦕 and sung lots of lovejy nursery rhymes. Stay tuned for a short video of the fun the children have in registration.

The children enjoy this puzzle a lot! It helps to build their problem solving skills trying to lock and open all the pieces as well encouraging their hand eye coordination,fine manipulative skills and mathematics(counting the animals behind the doors). Social skills and turn taking are needed for this task as so many of them want their turn all at the same time 👍🏻.

The children had lots of fun today in the dark dark tent with our light up toys and instruments,we even had the light up globe and music too.

Today the children enjoyed building towers with the mega blocks. They were very competitive with who’s was the tallest tower,they built them high....then watched them fall 😄. The building blocks covers many areas of the early years foundation stage curriculum including physical, mathematics and personal social and emotional.

Today at nursery the children had an expressive art session ,a huge shower curtain,paint pens and imagination was all that was needed. We ended up with Spider-Man/incy wincy spider,a snail and lots of other marks. Well done sunnysiders you worked so well together to create one masterpiece 👍🏻

A warm welcome back to sunnyside,children were all eager to get back to nursery to be with their friends. It’s a pleasure to see you all back safe and well.

Hello everyone. Just to let you know nursery will finish today at 12.30pm and return on Monday 2nd November at 9.30am,staff at sunnyside wish all of you a safe half term.
