Out on Wandsworth Common, our Redwoods children at Mousehouse Kindergarten paused beneath the trees and looked closely… what could those tiny threads be? 👀
Caterpillars, gently dangling on their own silks, invited us into a moment of true Forest School learning. We reached, pointed, wondered… How are they hanging there? Why do they spin silk? Where might they be going next?
This beautiful finding opened up conversations about life cycles, movement, patience and care for living things. We practised looking slowly, keeping our bodies calm, and respecting these tiny forest friends as we shared the space together 💚
These Fantastic Forest School moments remind us that learning lives in curiosity, in questions, and in the magic of noticing the small things. What will we discover next? 🌱

World Book Day delights from last week at our Crescent 2 Kindergarten in Tooting Bec 📚✨The Redwoods children stepped straight out of their favourite stories and into a world of words — from a gentle, music‑loving storyteller strumming a ukulele, to a much‑loved farmyard character ready for adventures in print, and a magical Room on the Broom witch bringing rhyme and imagination to life. Alongside roaring dinosaurs, brave princesses, and playful cats and dogs, every costume reflected a story that has captured a child’s heart.
Through dressing up, the children deepened their love of books, built confidence in storytelling, and explored early literacy through character, rhyme, and shared narratives — all wrapped in warmth, joy, and a real sense of belonging 🤍

Muddy boots, fresh air and curious minds 💚
Our Forest School sessions at Wimbledon Common are all about exploring, taking safe risks, working together and letting nature lead the learning. From splashing through puddles to running free under big open skies, these moments help build confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of the outdoors. Exploration-based learning helps your child become more aware of themselves as they dive into topics and objects that excite them. You can introduce them to the wonders of the universe and the fun of experimenting early on.
A perfect day beyond the classroom at The Park Kindergarten 🌳

Today the Redwoods opened the doors to a very special hospital — mostly for children… with a few teachers checked in too 😉
As we launched our new topic People Who Help Us, the room quickly became a bustling ward full of care, clipboards, plasters and bandages. Our older Redwoods confidently led the way, modelling how to look after patients and warmly encouraging the youngest children to join in and have a go.
Through watching, copying and playing together, language blossomed naturally — plaster, bandage, ill, hospital — all used with purpose, empathy and plenty of imagination.
This rich role play offers a healthy dose of EYFS learning, supporting PSED, Communication & Language, and Understanding the World, while nurturing kindness, cooperation and a strong sense of community.
Just what the doctor ordered at Mousehouse Wandsworth 🌿🐭

Where water flows, curiosity grows 🌿💧✨
Our two‑year‑olds in our downstairs classroom at Mousehouse Clapham Junction spent their afternoon immersed in muddy magic during their mini Forest School session. In our new mud kitchen and water play space, little explorers followed the gentle path of running water, floated tiny boats, collected natural treasures and discovered the joy of cause and effect through play.
Every splash, every drip, every giggle echoed with learning — building confidence, nurturing wonder and deepening their connection to nature’s rhythms. These are the moments where early adventures blossom. 🍃💛

🌸💌 Our Valentine’s week has begun at the at the kindergartens , gently and joyfully 💌🌸
In Acorns, little hands explored red, taste-safe playdough, rolling, pressing and cutting at their own pace — building fine motor strength through calm, sensory play ❤️🤲
Over in Redwoods, children carefully matched heart colours and created delicate tissue-paper heart crafts, taking time to notice, choose and create 🌿💞
Throughout our morning we’ve been weaving in our Golden Rules, nurturing kindness through sharing, kind hands, taking turns and respecting our friends — planting seeds of care and connection 🌱💗
A week filled with warmth, wonder and love 💕

A day full of little discoveries and big smiles at The Park Kindergarten 🌿
From scooping and measuring sand to spark early math skills, to exploring magnetic letters that invited matching, sorting and curious connections—our day was rich with playful learning.
There was so much laughter as children found the surprise inside the jack‑in‑the‑box, discovering cause and effect in the most joyful way.
Imaginative play blossomed outdoors and indoors, and we ended with cozy story moments that nourished growing minds and hearts.
✨ Learning through play, surrounded by nature and nurtured with care—just as it should be. ✨
