Both are incredibly powerful tools. The right choice just depends on whether you need to fix your current heading or explore the depths.

The ocean is the lifeblood of our planet and for those of us working at sea, it’s our daily reality. But how much do we truly know about the complex, fragile world beneath the waves?

This World Oceans Day, we’re challenging our community to take a closer look. True stewardship starts with understanding. If you have some downtime during the busy summer rush, trade your usual scroll for one of these incredible, eye-opening documentaries:

Sir 100 Years on Planet Earth (and A Life on Our Planet) A powerful lifetime witness statement and a vital vision for rewilding our world.

Mission Blue by .sylviaearle Follow the legendary oceanographer’s quest to protect a global network of marine protected areas, known as Hope Spots.

The International Our Ocean Initiative – Learn how global leaders and grassroots communities are uniting to tackle marine pollution and climate change head-on.

The more we understand the ocean, the better we can protect it and the safer our journeys across it will be.

👇 Have you watched any of these? Drop your favourite ocean documentary recommendations in the comments below!

As seafarers, the ocean isn't just a view, it's our place of work, our home, and our livelihood.

We know how vital it is to protect marine ecosystems and keep the ocean healthy. But there’s another ecosystem we need to care for just as fiercely: Our own minds.a

To be great stewards of the sea, we have to prioritise our own internal climate. Just like a delicate marine environment, our mental health requires balance, boundaries, and active care to thrive under pressure.

This World Environment Day, let’s pledge to sustain both: clean seas and clear minds.

👇 How do you check in on your "internal system"? Comment below.

Reflecting on a whirlwind few days at the Palma International Boat Show! 🇪🇸⚓️

It was an incredible week packed with insightful workshops, vibrant social events, and invaluable networking. More than anything, it was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with brilliant crew members, industry peers, and old friends, while forging meaningful new connections.

At Seas the Mind, our mission is to bring mental health awareness and support to the forefront of the maritime industry. Engaging face-to-face with the community at events like @palmainternationalboatshow reminds us just how vital these conversations are.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with us, collaborate, and support our workshops. We’re returning inspired and ready for the season ahead! 🌊
