This morning, Sedgehill Academy was continuing its summer of celebrations as Year 11 students received their GCSE results! 🎉

These represented a significant improvement on last year’s figures, enabling many more to secure the next steps into Sixth Form and College of their choice.  

This year, two thirds of Year 11s (66%) achieved a Grade 5 or higher in both English and maths – an impressive 24 percentage point increase on last year’s figures.

A similar trend of improvement was seen with the percentage of students achieving the two subjects at either 4+ or 7+.  

81% of the year group achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and maths, opening more doors for them as they choose their next steps at post-16.

Results day in Lewisham! 🎓

Yesterday was a big day for thousands of young people across Lewisham as they received their A-level and BTEC results 🎉

Cllr Rotimi Skyers visited Sedgehill Academy to meet students, celebrate their achievements and hear about their plans for the future.

Well done everyone for your hard work.

Sixth form results celebrations! 🎉

This morning, the atmosphere at Sedgehill Academy’s Sixth Form was buzzing as Year 13 received their A Level and equivalent results – with many delighted to secure their destinations of choice.

This year across the Sixth Form, over half (56%) of all A Level entries were graded as A* to B, with a fifth (22%) of them awarded a top grade of A* or A.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are so proud of you all. Don’t forget to keep in touch through our alumni network!
