A little Friday thought: we spend so long trying to meet the expectations of others and adhere to the pressures of society as a whole, that sometimes we neglect to really be true to ourselves
Striking a good work/life balance, taking care of ourselves, pursuing our dreams... these can fall to the wayside in we fail to take a step back and actually look at what it is we want from our lives.
So take back an element of control and put first what it is that is important for you to achieve

Look how far you’ve come and look how far there is left to go
Part of the transformation is enjoying the process and celebrating the little victories that help us achieve our desired goal
Don’t be disheartened if you still don’t see in the mirror what you want to see. It will come. Be kind to yourself. Persevere

Ultimately the final responsibility for any changes made in our life style stem from ourselves. We are the driving force in changing our behaviours, and the sooner we are prepared to accept that the sooner we can begin the journey to making meaningful differences
Sometimes we will make the right decision and others the wrong one but the ability to recognise our flaws and mistakes will enable us to achieve the biggest successes

“Our sense of ourselves is anchored in a vital connection with our bodies.” - Antonio Damasio
On day remember that exercise and movement aren’t just beneficial from a physiological perspective, but can also provide a sense of clarity through exploration, challenge and regimen
Why not take it back to nature and get a little paleo-inspired with exercises like bear crawls?

Purpose = Motivation
It’s simple, there’s no big secret to it really. You’re motivation stems from the purpose of your undertaking.
True in all walks of life, whether fitness related or not: if you find yourself lacking the motivation think on your why. Why do you want to lose weight? Why do you want to get stronger? Why do you want to do that job?
Have that underlying emotional connection to everything you do and you’ll always find the willpower to do it.
