Keep calm and carry on invigilating ONLINE. BL is exploring all the possible venues to make sure that there is as little interruptuion to school entrance assessments as possible. The candidate (pictured bottom left-hand corner) is working away on his prep school tests (pictured top pictured bottom left-hand corner) while being invigilated by our assessments team via interractive software tools. We wish all candidates vying for a palce in UK schools to pass their exams with flying colours and are always here to help.

Schools are officially closed in the UK and final exams cancelled.

Schools are closed to everyone, except the children of medical workers and other ‘key professions’ - firefighters, police officers, nurses - those who cannot be dispensed with in time of crisis.

Cancellation of final exams is an unprecedented measure. So far we are talking only about the A-levels and GCSE, which are controlled by the British government. The fate of international exams (IGCSE & IB) has not yet been decided. We have to wait.

The main thing is that Skype and Zoom do not explode in the near future. Work, study, friends, leisure - now everything is there.

Why is the UK reluctant to shut down Boarding Schools?

It is known that children under the age of 15 carry coronavirus, but they themselves do not get sick, or get sick in a mild, safe form. If schools are closed, what should working parents do? 🤔

In the case of a national closure of all schools and Universities, grandparents are the most vulnerable, and if they close, their lives can be threatened.

We advise to take the correct measures to protect the children, their parents and the grandparents. We fear this coronavirus outbreak will lead to a shortage of doctors, nurses and health workers in general.

You walk by the seaside seeing shells, seagulls and ivy thickets on the shore and talking to people from different countries who you already have made friends with. Seems perfect, doesn't it? Well, you can feel it yourself if you come to Ireland for learning english junior programe of ICE (Irish College of English). When I came to Ireland the first time just to visit I was already deeply impressed by it's beautiful untouched nature and the kindness and friendliness of people. But when you have an ability to live in Irish family and talk to your teachers learning more about this country you completely fall in love with Ireland. Also you can learn about the world just talking with the people of your age from other countries much more than from any geography class. While attending lessons and activities, communicating and having fun you soon understand that there is no that huge difference between nationalities.
