Had an awesome weekend in Edinburgh supporting our WRK HRD legend at the British Powerlifting Masters Nationals.

Prep wasn't exactly smooth sailing. A month of travel, illness, and a small injury disrupted training, but she kept showing up and doing what she could with the hand she was dealt.

On meet day, a technical issue on the bench saw the blocks under her feet slip during the unrack, forcing her to retake her opener...

She stay composed and bounced back brilliantly, but a missed down command on her third attempt meant the lift didn't make it onto the scoreboard.

Even so, she exceeded our expectations going into the competition and demonstrated exactly what good athletes do when things don't go to plan...

Accept, adapt & overcome.

Squat: 102.5kg ⚪️⚪️⚪️
Bench: 45kg ⚪️⚪️🔴
Deadlift: 130kg ⚪️⚪️⚪️

We all go through phases in life when our training and fitness goals have to take a back seat.

That's perfectly normal and acceptable.

But what isn't acceptable is allowing that pattern to continue and allowing yourself to keep sliding backwards...

At some point you have to take responsibility and stop using work, family and social events as an excuse for not getting back into shape.

So, If you're unhappy with the shape you're in...

Then It's time to ditch the all or nothing mindset and learn how to stay consistent, even when life gets busy.

Because you aren't getting any younger and life isn't going to slow down and wait.
