How do we feel about this statement..?

It is not always easy to see every situtation as gift or opportunity, at least not straight away. Everybody has been through and will go through experiences that cause us pain. Most of the time, we won't be prepared and it will completely knock everything out of balance, turn your world upside down or even make you feel as if you can't continue.

You should allow time for you to feel those the hurt and pain as these feelings are valid. However, when you're ready, if you can try and see a gift or opportunity in everything that happens in your life, you will open yourself to unlimited potential and have the power to choose how experiences affect you.

It's not always easy to do this alone. With AWE Coaching, we can help you to let go of past hurts and not allow them to bring you down or hold you back. Get in touch to see if coaching could be the key to unlocking your full potential.

Who can relate to this? We all worry about loved ones who are going through pain and want to do everything we can to help them get through it as quickly as possible.

But sometimes, the best thing you can do for them is to let them learn how to cope with and make sense of their pain on their own. This sounds harsh and unkind, but when you try to 'save' or help others too much, you are taking away that person's opportunity to learn and grow from their experiences.

The best way to help someone is to show them the way through looking after yourself and being that guide or example. It is up to that person whether they accept your help or not, and if you really care about them, when they make the decision to ask for your help, you will be there.

If you are struggling with a situation similar to this, AWE coaching could help you to be that example, by working on yourself so that you can be a guide to others.

Which do you agree with most? Comment below

These statements are related two Carol Dweck's work on Fixed & Growth Mindsets.

I have to admit, it is easier not to try sometimes and avoid all the painful feelings of rejection, hurt or embarassment that we fear will happen if we try and fail. However, more often than not those feelings we fear are not so bad and don't last forever. Things you give up when you don't try:

Possibilities - Closing one door has knock on effects and can close you off from other possibilities

Power - You allow your fear to control your life and your decisions by not trying

Knowledge - There is always something to learn from 'failure'. We stop the opportunity to grow by not trying

Success - You don't get to be successful without failure

So although trying something makes you vulnerable to failing or getting hurt, is not trying really worth giving up all these things..?

Constantly feeling like there's not enough time in the day, week, month even for the things that you want to do? Thinking that if you had more time then you could do so much more with your life? —This is a scarcity mindset and stops us from growing and believing in ourselves and what is possible!

Time is an opportunity; a gift. We have the power to choose how we spend our time and what we focus on. Really look at how you are spending your time and identify those energy drainers that are stopping you from reaching your potential.

Whether it's binge watching Netflix, stalking other people's lives on IG (we've all been there) or giving energy to someone who does not deserve your time. Identify it and take action to change this part of your life. Its not about cutting out those activities or people that drain you, but recognising the impact and reducing the time you spend on them when they start taking too much of your time.

Happy Easter Monday 🐣🐰 and start reclaiming that time from those energy drainers!

We all get days when we feel exhausted, stressed, overwhelmed or all of the above. It is totally OK to feel this way and we need these days so that we can look back on them and be grateful when we're having a really good day!

The phrase 'Take a Break' is really powerful. No one is giving out free time so you need to look after yourself and take that break when you need it most! And not a break where your still thinking about the things that you need to do or giving your time to someone else.

This is about taking a CLEAN break: no interruptions, no guilt, just time dedicated to you. You deserve it so give yourself that gift ❤️🎁
