Announcing a funded PhD opportunity: based at the Centre and the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA).
The theme is "Understanding the Regulation of Parliamentary Expenditure".
It is a full-time, 3.5-year funded PhD project involving a 3-month placement at IPSA (with the time at IPSA being spread over the PhD period).
The academic supervisory team consists of Christel Koop (Professor of Political Economy) and Andrew Blick (Professor of Politics and Contemporary History), with Lee Bridges (Director, Policy & Engagement at IPSA) serving as the supervisor at the partner organisation.

Today, in association with the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, we organised a witness seminar focusing on "The British Embassy and post-Soviet republics in the 1990s". Participants included: Sir Rodric Braithwaite; Sir Brian Fall; and Sir Roderic Lyne. We thank them for a fascinating afternoon.
