Meet the tutors: Ali

Ali has worked on over 80 CELTA and DELTA courses and is still counting. He has helped thousands of teachers to gain their CELTA certificate and fulfil their teaching ambitions. With so much experience, Ali knows what challenges trainees face on the CELTA course and knows how to support you so that you get the maximum from your CELTA experience.

“I see trainees develop so quickly on the CELTA, but it can get intense at times. I know the pitfalls that people can fall into and I’m there to steer you in the right direction. I also like to create a dynamic, positive atmosphere because that’s how we make the most progress. Both teaching and learning can be very rewarding and by the end of the course you have this surge of enthusiasm to go out there and inspire!”

Meet the tutors: Joe

Joe has been working in the ELT industry since 2004 and has experience teaching and teacher training in a wide variety of countries. He has managed language schools in Colombia, Vietnam, Lebanon, and Ukraine. He has also worked on CELTA courses in Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Philippines, the UK and China as well as online courses with trainees from all over the world. He brings all this experience to his CELTA courses.

“One of the great things about the CELTA is that trainees get to share their previous experiences and attitudes to learning and teaching. You can learn so much by observing other teachers and getting feedback from others who observe you. This helps us to be prepared for various situations and overcome common challenges.”
