We’re excited to start the musical year with our Music Scholars’ Recitals soon, celebrating the wonderful talents of our young musicians. 🎶

This summer, at Ibstock’s inaugural Rowing camps our pupils trained hard, built brilliant friendships and put their skills to the test at Molesey Regatta and on the historic Henley course.
At Molesey Regatta, our J14 boys’ quad secured Ibstock’s first-ever quad win, while Abi (Senior 11) took her third win of the season in the Year 10 girls’ single. 🏆
The second camp saw our pupils race on the historic Henley course. Abi claimed another impressive victory in the girls’ single, while Joe (Senior 11) won the J15 boys’ single final. 🥇
A brilliant first racing season for our rowing squad, with fantastic progress both on and off the water. We’re looking forward to an exciting winter season ahead! 👏

Congratulations to all our Senior 11 pupils on their outstanding GCSE results! 🎉

This year, our pupils have achieved one of Ibstock’s best-ever number of GCSE top grades — a fantastic accomplishment that reflects their hard work, determination and the tremendous support of their teachers.

A few highlights from this year’s exceptional results:

* Music: 100% of pupils achieved grades 9–7.
* STEM — Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics: 93% of grades were 7–9.
* Humanities — History, Geography and Religious Studies: 88% of grades were 7–9.

We are delighted to be welcoming many of you into our Sixth Form in September and look forward to seeing all that you will achieve and contribute as leading members of our Ibstock community over the next two years. 🙌🏽✨

Prep 6 pupils began their celebrations with a special leavers’ tea earlier in the week, where they enjoyed two beautifully made cakes prepared by our talented catering team. The celebrations finished with an unforgettable leavers’ disco, brilliantly organised by FIPS. The white glow theme lit up the night, with pupils wearing bright neon-white outfits and accessories. The DJ kept the music going all evening, and everyone had a great time on the dance floor. 💃🕺

The final day of term was marked with our annual Prize Giving Ceremony, followed by a drinks reception on the Terrace to celebrate our prize winners and Sixth Form Leavers. We were delighted to welcome Janet Cooper OBE as our Guest of Honour. A distinguished lawyer, entrepreneur, and chair and director of several organisations, Janet shared inspiring words with our pupils as they celebrated this important milestone.

Congratulations to all of our prize recipients on your fantastic achievements! We wish our Sixth Form Leavers every success in the future, and hope everyone enjoys a happy, relaxing summer holiday. 🥰

In Senior 7, pupils learned about climate change and global warming, focusing on rising carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. They then carried out an experiment using solid carbon dioxide (dry ice). Mrs Walsh used the dry ice to make ice cream, which was a highlight in the hot weather. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the session.
