Ofsted registered, small homely family run nursery for children 3m to 5. Supporting local families

31/12/2025

As we look back on our 2025 memories, we just want to say thank you for an amazing year. πŸ’›

This year was filled with so many special moments, fundraising for incredible causes, celebrating culture together, welcoming families to our fairs and open days, and supporting our wider community through donations and shared initiatives.

It was also a year that reminded us of our strength. 5 years of DVN. From opening during the pandemic to navigating staffing challenges, funding pressures, and the cost-of-living crisis, we continued to show up every day with the same goal: providing high-quality childcare in a safe, loving, and supportive environment.

None of this would have been possible without our wonderful families, our dedicated team, our community partners, local organisations, charities, and everyone who supported us along the way, including Tower Hamlets Council, Ofsted, local businesses, artists, and workshop providers.

Thank you for being part of our journey, our community, and our story. We are so proud of what we built together, and the memories from 2025 will always stay with us. 🌱

With gratitude,
The DVN Team

When we first opened our doors, the world felt very uncertain, but one thing was always clear: our commitment to your children and families. πŸ’›

Through every challenge, we showed up with care, consistency, and love, creating a safe and supportive place where little ones could learn, grow, and thrive.

As 2025 comes to an end, we’re so proud of what we built together and deeply grateful to every family who trusted us, supported us, and became part of our community. These memories will stay with us always. 🌱

Thank you for being part of our journey πŸ˜‰

We at Docklands Village Nursery wish you a very Merry Christmas! πŸŽ…βœ¨ May this Christmas be filled with joy, laughter, warmth, and magical moments shared with family and loved ones.

P.S. Our nursery is quiet today as everyone is busy getting excited for Christmas Eve! πŸŽ„ With no little footsteps around, we decided to ask AI to decorate the nursery for us, adding a sprinkle of festive magic while we wait. πŸ€–βœ¨ What do you think of the result?

Hear it from the parents!

Hailey kindly shared her experience of her son attending our nursery. We are delighted to receive such positive feedback.

Thank you, Hailey, for taking the time to share πŸ’›

Pretend play is an important part of our nursery day. This festive season, the children loved pretending to make gingerbread cookies, using their imagination while enjoying the Christmas spirit.πŸŽ„πŸͺ

With Christmas just around the corner, we have been enjoying the story Stick Man by Julia Donaldson.
Inspired by the book, our practitioners set up a tuff tray activity to support children’s learning through play, encouraging imagination, storytelling, and creativity.πŸŽ„

Winter is the perfect season for hot chocolate fun!

At nursery, our little ones enjoyed a marshmallow hot chocolate sensory role-play on the tuff tray. They scooped, poured, stirred, and pretended building imagination, fine motor skills, and lots of cosy winter joy 🀎🀍

Pro tip for parents:
Try this at home using warm (not hot) chocolate or milk for a fun, cosy winter activity your child will love!

πŸŽ„ The past two weeks, we’ve been a little offline as we’ve been fully immersed in Christmas activities at the nursery, busy, busy, and loving every moment!
