We had the most special trip recently 💚

We’re so excited to share that we’ve been given our very own little plot by the Havering Volunteer Centre — such a beautiful space right in the heart of our community.

The garden is truly something special, thoughtfully created for the partially sighted community, filled with sensory plants, textures and flowers for everyone to enjoy 🌿🌸 The children absolutely loved exploring it, and we can’t wait to start caring for our own little area together.

This is such a lovely opportunity for our children to build a real sense of responsibility, kindness and connection to the world around them — something we value so deeply.

We’ll also be doing some fundraising to help develop our plot with more plants and flowers, while supporting the incredible ongoing work of the centre.

A huge thank you to Shelley Hart for welcoming us into such a meaningful space — we feel very lucky to be part of it 💫

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you today and especially to all our staff here at Little Robins 💐

Every single day you give so much love, patience, comfort and care to the children in our nursery, often treating them as if they were your own. The cuddles when they’re sad, the encouragement when they’re learning something new, the laughter you share with them and the safe, happy environment you create means more than you probably realise.

The role you play in these children’s early lives is so special. You help them grow in confidence, feel secure, and experience kindness and joy every day they walk through our doors.

Today I just want to say thank you for the love, dedication and heart you bring to the nursery. It never goes unnoticed and it makes such a difference to our little ones and their families.

Wishing you all a very Happy Mother’s Day – you truly are amazing at what you do 💛

Exciting news from the coop 🐣✨ Our very first chick has hatched!

Mealtimes at our nursery are about more than just food ✨

Today our in-house chef prepared a delicious chicken & potato curry served with vegetable fried rice, freshly cooked from scratch in our nursery kitchen using wholesome ingredients.

Our children are encouraged to self-serve their meals, supporting independence, confidence and helping them develop important life skills while learning to listen to their own hunger cues.

A warm, nourishing lunch shared together after a busy morning of learning and play. 🍽️

🥚🐣 Something exciting is beginning at Little Robins Nursery and Preschool! We’ve just welcomed some quail eggs into nursery, and the children are already fascinated as we start our hatching journey together.

Over the coming days we’ll be learning about life cycles, talking about how to care for living things, and patiently waiting to see if our tiny chicks make their big arrival. Watch this space for updates! ✨

👷‍♂️⚡ What an exciting visit for our Little Robins! Steven Denham from Denham Electrical Contractors Ltd came in to show us what an electrician does, tested our smoke alarms, and helped us with our boards. The children were fascinated and had the best time—thank you for such a fantastic experience! 🌟

An inspiring day at the Nursery Management Show at Excel! Our management team dedicated the day to high-quality seminars to develop our CPD, and we were grateful for the opportunity to have valuable conversations with senior Ofsted inspectors who have played an integral part in the new inspection framework changes — including Jayne Coward, Deputy Director for Early Years Regulatory Policy and Practice at Ofsted. The highlight of the day was definitely seeing E17!
