Our Toddlers have been getting into the spring spirit by planting their own seeds and getting hands‑on in the garden, learning how little plants grow. They also had a hilarious time scooping up “wriggly worms” (a.k.a. spaghetti!) with clips, seeing who could catch the most. Lots of giggles, plenty of fine‑motor practice, and a whole lot of learning wrapped up in messy fun. 🌱🐛

Our Preschool explorers have been busy discovering the tiny creatures of spring. From spotting insects outdoors to naming what they found, their curiosity was buzzing. They even grabbed magnifying glasses to get a closer look at all the little details. The adventure continued as they learnt the parts of a flower, sparking brilliant conversations and growing their knowledge of the natural world 🌼

Baby Room children had a fantastic time last week learning about Spring by exploring nature in the local park. The children enjoyed looking at flowers, listening to the birds, and playing with flower petals.
During the activity, they explored different colours and began learning the names of various flowers. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to connect with nature while developing their language and sensory skills.

This week our preschoolers learnt all about the police and how they help keep our community safe. The children made their own police badges, explored what officers do and even dressed up for some brilliant role‑play. They couldn’t wait to show off their badges to parents at home time!

From first feelings to big emotions, our children spent the day developing their emotional awareness.
Babies used picture flashcards to express how they felt. Older children explored a wide range of emotions such as anger, frustration, and sadness, and discussed ways to overcome them. They also talked about how to manage their different emotions as they arise during play.
They were encouraged to pick an emotion flashcard and express how they were feeling. They also learned about other people’s feelings and how to show empathy and support when others are experiencing emotional moments.

🚒 Last week we had a special visit from our local firefighters! The children explored real firefighting equipment, learned how it works, and discovered the names of the different tools. Meeting people who help us in our community supported their communication and language development, while also deepening their understanding of the world.
A huge thank you to the team for their visit!
